Remembrance

This grave marker was in Charleston, South Carolina.  All of the words had been washed away after years of exposure to the elements.  It got me thinking that what is on our tombstone does not matter in the end.  But how we live our life makes all of the difference.  How are we treating people in our life each day? What are we doing that will make a difference? We should live each day like it is our last and endeavor to do something meaningful with it.

For some reason, I do like walking through cemeteries. There are always neat things to discover there.

  1. I love my local cemetery (it's stunning - one of only 5 nationally-landmarked cemeteries in the country). I've combined photography and cemeteries by fulfilling requests via findagrave.com. You might want to check it out - when you take photos for the requester, they are generally very grateful.
