Flight
The Charleston Air Force Base was near our hotel. We enjoyed seeing these C-17 Globemaster III planes. When you realize that their empty weight alone is 141 tons (128,100 kg) and max. takeoff weight is 282 tons (265,350 kg), it is amazing that they have the ability to fly.

ReplyDeleteMust be nice to see such a huge plane.
The only thing I ever see in the country here is the occasional sky trail...and only maybe 1 a day of those.
